Age Group Entries

The 2016 ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships age group races will be run as two separate events with the Women’s race taking place on the afternoon of Friday 18th November and the Men’s race taking place on the morning of Saturday 19th November.

Entry Fee’s

Age Group standard distance entry fee’s are AU$199 inc GST per competitor.



Entries for both the men’s and the women’s race are now open, entries are to be completed using the LOC Entry Form.

Entries for these categories close on Friday 16th September at 4pm AEST. At this time all entries must have been received by the Event Managers via email at [email protected]

Start Lists

The start list can be downloaded from the ITU website at  after the close of entries.  Use the Microsoft Excel icon located above the start list on the top right of the Event Page.


Registration for all age group athletes takes place on Thursday 17th November at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa, there are two registration periods:

  1. 9am – 12pm, and
  2. 1pm – 3pm.


Race Briefing

The age group race briefing will be held at 11am at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa and is for Team Managers and Coaches only.

It is each Team Manger’s or nominated Team Mangers’ responsibility to ensure that all information communicated as part of the age group brief is communicated to all athletes well in advance of their race start.

First aid and medical services will be provided during competition times at the race site and on course.

Hospital and further medical treatment is at the cost of the competitor.  All athletes and team support should therefore ensure that they have the appropriate medical insurance in place.  It is a condition of entry under ITU rules that all competitors carry this insurance.


Medical Conditions

Please ensure that the National Federation is aware of all medical conditions and provides to the LOC a list of competitors’ medication and any pre-existing medical conditions on the LOC Entry Form.

The opening ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday 17th November in Jindabyne on the lake foreshore.

Join us for the biggest party downunder including:

  • Parade of nations;
  • Official world championships launch;
  • Launch of the official world championships event anthem;
  • Athletes Oath;
  • Music and Entertainment; and
  • BBQ & Party.
  • All athletes are required to attend in full national team uniform.
  • Athletes will meet in the parade muster area in Jindabyne at 5:30pm.
  • Each team are asked to nominate an official flag bearer and to send an email including name and bio of the flag bearer to [email protected] by 1st November, 2016.
  • Each national federation is requested to bring a full size national flag for the opening ceremony.

Presentations of all Age Group awards will take place as part of the After Party & Closing Ceremony on Sunday 20th November, 7pm at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa.
