Junior (U19) and Paratriathlete Entries

The 2016 ITU Cross Triathlon World Championships Junior (U19) and Paratriathlon men’s and women’s race will be run consecutively on the morning of Sunday 20th November.


Entry Fee’s

Sprint distance entry fee’s for the Junior (U19) and Parathriathlon PT 2, 3 & 4 categories are AU$150 inc GST per competitor.



Entries for both categories are now open through the ITU online system.

Entries for these categories close on Friday 14th October at 4pm AEST. At this time all entries must have been received via the ITU Online Entry System.



The qualification criteria for athletes to enter the World Championships are published on www.triathlon.org


Start Lists

The start list can be downloaded from the ITU website at http://www.triathlon.org/  after the close of entries.  Use the Microsoft Excel icon located above the start list on the top right of the Event Page.

The race briefing for Junior (U19) and Paratriathletes will take place at 1pm on Thursday 17th November in the Alpine Room at Lake Crackenback Resort & Spa.

All athletes must attend this briefing.

Registration will take place immediately after the briefing.

First aid and medical services will be provided during competition times at the race site and on course.

Hospital and further medical treatment is at the cost of the competitor.  All athletes and team support should therefore ensure that they have the appropriate medical insurance in place.  It is a condition of entry under ITU rules that all competitors carry this insurance.

Medical Conditions

Please ensure that your National Federation is informed about all medical conditions.  Each National Federation is to provide the LOC a list of competitors’ medication and all pre-existing medical conditions.

The opening ceremony will take place on the evening of Thursday 17th November in Jindabyne on the lake foreshore.

Join us for the biggest party downunder including:

  • Parade of nations;
  • Official world championships launch;
  • Launch of the official world championships event anthem;
  • Athletes Oath;
  • Music and Entertainment; and
  • BBQ & Party.
  • All athletes are required to attend in full national team uniform.
  • Athletes will meet in the parade muster area in Jindabyne at 5:30pm.
  • Each team are asked to nominate an official flag bearer and to send an email including name and bio of the flag bearer to [email protected] by 1st November, 2016.
  • Each national federation is requested to bring a full size national flag for the opening ceremony.
