In breaking news TreX, Australia’s National XTri Series, has announced that internationally renowned athletes Ben and Jacqui Allen will launch a free kids Triathlon Clinic at TreX Goldfields this November.

BENDIGO – In2Adventure are proud to announce that ambassadors Ben and Jacqui Allen will be hosting a free triathlon training clinic for TreX Dirt Kids aged 7-10 years at TreX Goldfields on the 25th of November.

Ben Allen (AUS) and Jacqui Allen (GBR), often referred to as the ‘First Couple of cross triathlon, are two of the most prolific athletes in the sport, travelling extensively around the world and boasting many titles to their name.  They also run B&J Racing mentoring up and coming athletes in the sport.  Now they’re back in Australia and set to share that wealth of knowledge and experience with our young Australian champions of the future at the ‘B&J Racing Kids Clinic’.

The B&J Racing kids clinic will be offered free to all entrants in the TreX Dirt Kids event at TreX Goldfields hosted in Bendigo on the 25th of November.  The Dirt Kids event is just one of the many courses hosted by In2Adventure as part of the TreX Cross Triathlon which also includes a standard, sprint, junior, teaser, aquabike and duathlon options. Dirt Kids is a fun, non-competitive event for youngsters aged 7-10 years and includes a 50m swim, 3km easy mountain bike and a 500m trail run.  Like all TreX events it does offer Dirt Kids the opportunity to get a bit dirty and muddy in this fun and exciting version of the sport.

Both Ben and Jacqui are excited to announce the B&J Racing Kids clinic and Ben told us that,

The focus is on PARTICIPATION rather than competition. The clinic is designed to expose kids to Cross Triathlon and the exciting world of multisport!  Jacqui and I want to educate kids about the multisport lifestyle, all while being involved in a fun, exciting, and safe atmosphere! It will really help the kids to ‘get their feet wet’.

We see this as an opportunity for kids to meet friends, learn fundamental skills in triathlon, all while getting down and dirty of course!  We can’t wait to meet all the enthusiastic boys and girls ready to live on the wild side of triathlon.”

Race Director, Simon Lazenby, from In2Adventure the organisation that hosts the National TreX XTri Series told us

;“We are so excited to launch this new initiative from Ben and Jacqui.  They are not only amazing athletes, but also wonderful people who give so much of their time back to the sport, event organisers and other athletes.  This is just another example of their commitment to the sport and will be such a positive experience for our young Dirt Kids who will now have the opportunity to come along and have a go at off road racing and learn some new skills from the best in the business.”

The clinic is designed to introduce young athletes aged 7-10 yrs+ to the sport of triathlon and help them improve triathlon specific skills in a safe and fun environment. The clinic is hosted by qualified coaches and is an ideal opportunity for parents racing TreX XTri to involve their entire family during the race weekend.  It will be hosted just before the TreX XTri Dirt Kids event on race day. Numbers are limited, and registration is included with every Dirt Kids entry.
